Lip Injections Cost

Lip Injections’ cost varies depending on a number of factors. What you’re having injected, the experience of the surgeon, and the quality of before, during and after-care will all affect the cost of lip injections.

Why get lip injections? Simply put, they’re one of the cheapest, safest and most reliable cosmetic procedures available. Unlike more invasive surgery, there is practically no chance of complications, lip injections can be done in a single day, and with no serious side effects.

Despite this, lip injections can be wonderfully effective. Lip injections will give you fuller, plumper, sexier lips, a more confident smile, and the great feeling will spread across your face and take years off your look overall.

Why is this? It’s because lips are what everyone focuses on. We look at someone’s lips while they’re talking, while we’re sneaking cheeky glances at them across a room or bar, when we want to kiss them… The list goes on! Lips are a highly visible part of your face, and it’s no wonder that poets have spent thousands of years writing about them!

How Much Do Lip injections Cost?

Lip injections cost a varying amount, depending on what results you’re after. If you only want to enhance your lips for a few weeks, say, around a big event like a wedding, honeymoon, holiday, graduation, etc, then lip injections can be done cheaply and effectively for as little as $300-$350.

If you want something a little more robust, that will last you six months to a year, then the cost of your lip injections will probably increase by a few hundred dollars. If you want something permanent or semi-permanent, then your budget will probably be upwards of $1500, but we’re then veering into the area of lip implants rather than a simple injection.

On the surface, even the cheapest lip injection procedure can seem quite expensive. This is because the lip injection procedure cost isn’t just for the injection itself; it also covers the salaries of reception staff, nurses, the sterile environment, after-care, anaesthetic, and so on.

There’s a very clear correlation between the cost of a procedure and the length of time you’ll be able to enjoy your enhanced smile for. This is not because cheaper procedures are rip-offs, but rather that there’s a natural limitation to how long lip injections can last.

This is because of the very nature of what lip injections are. Over years, your body naturally reabsorbs some of the fat and other liquids that sit under the skin of your lips, thinning your lips out and making them seen shrivelled or withdrawn.

Lip injections simply push more matter under the skin of the lip, plumping it back out and reinvigorating your look but filling your lips back out again. Because the surgeon is injecting something foreign into your body to do this – unless you’re getting a fat transfer, which we’ll talk about later – it needs to be as sterile and medically neutral as possible, otherwise your body may have a reaction trying to get rid of it.

Regardless of what’s used, your body will naturally start to reabsorb it, much like it did with your original fat cells. This means that lip injections will fade a little over time, and you may want to get a top-up after a few months or a year or so.

You’ll often find that after the first injection, your body will reabsorb most but not all of the injected material, leaving you with permanently slightly fuller lips. If a subtle enhancement is all that you want, then this can be ideal!

Cheap Lip Injections

As we’ve already talked about, lip injection costs can vary depending on what surgeon you visit and what you’re getting injected. The cheaper procedures will generally use injections that will be broken down by your body fairly rapidly, often fading over a matter of weeks or a few months.

Lip Augmentation Cost

A lower budget lip injection can often be a good way to experiment. Many women are concerned they’ll end up with a ‘trout pout’ or look like they’ve had obvious ‘work’ done, especially around their lips. Having a small amount of lip injection work done is a great way to ‘test the waters’, because it’s not going to be permanent if you don’t like it.

That said, nearly all women who have lip injections are satisfied with their results. Why is this? Well, they’ve usually made their minds up pretty confidently by the time they’ve committed to the procedure. I don’t know about you, but whenever I’m about to spend several hundred dollars on something, I’m pretty sure that I want it!

Secondly, lip injections normally give good results because it’s such a popular and well-practiced procedure. As you know, repetition and familiarity with something means that you become an expert in it quite quickly, and cosmetic surgeons have been providing lip injections at all cost levels for well over fifteen years now. That’s a long time to get the technique down pat!

So why else would you consider a more expensive lip injection procedure, apart from permanence? If you have asymmetrical lips, or a defect in the line of your smile you want corrected, then it might be worth paying a little more. Skilled surgeons can adjust the curve of your smile with strategic injections, and suggest other surgical options – all minor, relatively cheap, and effective – that can be used to complement or enhance lip injection treatments.

What about if you want bigger lips than you’ve had before? Firstly, get some outside opinions. Ask some friends you can trust to be honest. Some women have the cheekbones and face that suits big lips, others could be more suited to a more subtle enhancement.

Remember you’re filling out the space left over time by your body’s slow reabsorption of fats and other fluids that make up the bulk of your lips. Pushing your lips beyond those limits is certainly possible, but if you’re wanting fuller lips than you’ve had previously, consider upping your budget.
